There is a known issue that exists with PDF files that are uploaded to your GoldFynch case. These files may be set up to open and process without requiring a password and will be uploaded to your case without issues. However, when you are viewing these files in the Document Viewer and need to either use the redaction tool or the highlight tool, issues may arise - these tools may become unavailable and may also be removed from the Document Viewer toolbar.

A workaround to access the redaction tool is to change to the "Older viewer". The same PDF when viewed with the older viewer, allows you to redact from the option in the navigation on the right side of the screen.
A similar workaround using the "Older viewer" will be necessary when needing to use the highlighting tool when viewing protected PDF files with the "Newer viewer". The option to select text will be disabled on protected PDF files but allowed when using the older viewer.
Our developers and engineers are working on a permanent fix which will allow these types of files to be viewed using the "Newer viewer".
