Setting up Tags Before Reviewing

Before beginning your review, consider setting up Tags in the Tags View (as seen in the example image below).  This preparation ensures that your Tags are ready to use when reviewing documents.  See below:

  • Create Tags you’ll frequently need during the review process.
  • Enable the Quick Tag option for commonly used Tags.  This ensures they are always visible and accessible on pages where you can assign or create Tags.

For detailed instructions on creating Quick Tags, refer to this guide.

Once set up, Quick Tags will appear in the Document Viewer for easy access during your review, and will require just a single click to assign the Tag to the file you are viewing:

Organizing Documents with Tags for Production

Tags are also invaluable for organizing documents in preparation for productions. While reviewing, you can:

  • Tag documents by production:  Assign Tags such as "PRODUCTION 1" or "PRODUCTION 2" to indicate which production they will belong to.
  • Use those same Tags during production creation:  In Step 2 of the Production Wizard, select the Tags for documents you wish to include in your production.

Step 2 of the Production Wizard also allows you to exclude documents by negating specific Tags (e.g., "IRRELEVANT") or Saved Searches, as seen below:

Finalizing Your Production
