When you click on a document to view it in GoldFynch, the Document Viewer will open. By default, your GoldFynch Document Viewer may look something like the image below, but a few of the elements on this page can be customized to fit your needs. The main elements that can be shown/hidden are the Navigation Context (left side) and Attachment Context (middle)

Preset Layout Buttons

To make modifying your Document Viewer's layout as simple as possible, we've created a few preset options for you to use, as desired. These can be found near the top of the Document Viewer, as seen in the image above labeled "Layout Preset Buttons". Now let's take a closer look at these options:

  1. Toggle Navigation Context Pane - This button allows you to toggle the Navigation Context pane, seen on the left side of the Document Viewer. It's worth noting that the Navigation Context pane is also used to display the list of files when viewing documents in a review set, so if these aren't appearing for you, you may need to toggle this pane. Here's a bit more information on Navigation Contexts: Navigation Contexts in GoldFynch's Document Viewer
  2. Document Only - This button will hide the Attachment Context pane to allow for a larger view of the document rendering. While this will hide information like email metadata, the document rendering will be a bit larger for viewing, and the Attachment Context can be shown again by clicking on buttons 3, 4, or 5.
  3. Split Vertically - This button will unhide the Attachment Context pane (if hidden), and will display the pane right above the document rendering in a vertically-stacked view.
  4. Split Horizontally - This button will unhide the Attachment Context pane (if hidden) and will display the pane to the left of the document rendering, in a side-by-side view.
  5. Reset Layout - This button will reset your current Document Viewer layout back to the default, seen at the top of this page.

Re-sizing the Layout

You can also re-size some of the elements on the Document Viewer page outside of the preset button options to better fit your needs. The image below illustrates each area that can be re-sized in the Document Viewer:

Re-sizing locations for the Document Viewer.

The Navigation Context, Attachment Context, and right-side column can all be re-sized using the gray lines separating these panes from the document rendering. Re-sizing these panes will directly change the document rendering size (to be larger or smaller, depending on how the panes are re-sized), so if you are looking to make your document rendering preview larger, you can do so by making one of these panes smaller.

Alternatively, you can also adjust your document rendering view using the "Document Zoom", also illustrated in the image above. This will not re-size any of the other panes in the Document Viewer, but instead will zoom in on the document rendering
