GoldFynch's Document viewer has an attachment context panel that lets you keep track of files that are linked to each other like zips and zipped files or emails and their attachments.

Viewing an email and its attachments

  • Click on an email from any listing (files view, search result, etc) to view it in the Document viewer
  • Click on any of the attachment files listed in the attachment context panel to navigate to it
  • Toggle the layout of the attachment context panel by clicking on the buttons at the top of the page (Note: this has been described in more detail later on in this article)

Current file is highlighted in the attachment context

Points to be taken note of:

  • The attachments for the email will be listed below the file information (file name and metadata) in the attachment context. (Note: In the image above the email metadata is hidden so the attachments are listed directly below the file name.)
  • Click on the Show Metadata link to view the metadata information if required
  • Any email with attachments will have the list of attachments at the bottom of the email. This can be used to verify the emails in the attachment context panel
  • Even if the email (parent) or one of the attachments (child) is moved to a different folder in your case, their relationship will be maintained and can be viewed from the attachment context panel

Navigating between an email and its attachments is quite easy, you just need to click on the file name in the attachment context to navigate to a specific file.
