GoldFynch offers many ways to be fiscally responsible with your case management. One of these is offering options for archiving a case when it is no longer active.

More ways for cost management with your GoldFynch case can be found here.

Full Case Exports

The full case export option on our end typically would be used for two main reasons:
  1. Needing a way to locally archive the case until the retention runs out for destruction
  2. If the case is no longer active and you might need to re-upload the case to GoldFynch sometime in the future

The case export we provide when this archive option is requested must be performed by us via the backend of the system, hence it incurs additional fees.

The links included as part of these full case exports are not intended to be used as a way to access or review files. The links contain information from GoldFynch’s database, and their purpose is to facilitate the re-import of documents back into the platform in the future by GoldFynch staff.

NOTE: To request a full case export, do so as a "Technical Support Request" Add-on Service.

Generated JSON files

JSON files are generated when running full case exports. These are plaintext files that can be opened with a text editor.

Here is a breakdown of the data contained in the various .json files included in the full case export:

  • bodies.json contains the extracted or imported main text content for the documents
  • store.json is all of the case-related information from the database, such as upgrade/downgrade events, user access, tags, etc.
  • review set.json would contain the information for any review sets created in the case
  • production.json would contain the information regarding the productions in the case
  • items.json will list the stored data for each document
The GoldFynch full case export ensures that the case contains all information specific to that case, but because it cannot be uploaded to other eDiscovery review platforms, we do also offer other ways to archive cases. Those are further discussed in the following articles:
